Our 8-day / 7-night SharkWEEK Mozambique package includes shark diving the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro in Mozambique.
The package includes all transfers, accommodation, scuba diving and dive permits .

When you arrive at Maputo Airport you will be met and transferred to Ponta Do Ouro.

Holiday Itinerary
This itinerary is flexible and can be changed to suit your requirements and flights etc.
Day 1 : Arrive Maputo Airport (anytime) - Transfer to and Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 2 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 3 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 4 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 5 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 6 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 7 : 2 x Shark Dives Ponta Do Ouro - Overnight Ponta Do Ouro.
Day 8 : Transfer to Maputo International Airport (flights can depart at anytime).
Extra diving is available should conditions allow and can be arranged when you are there.
Typical Day
After breakfast, meet at the dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the days shark diving in Ponta Do Ouro.
Each day you will experience two dives on the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique.
The diving starts with a surf launch from the beach before diving with the many species of shark found in Ponta Do Ouro.
During the shark dives, you have a great chance to see many species of shark including Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Guitar Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks as well as Dolphin, Whales, Turtles, Mantas, Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Moray Eels, Game Fish and much more!
After the shark diving, return to the dive centre where there are hot showers and a secure wet-room to store your gear.
Spend the afternoon relaxing around the pool, walking on the beach or visit a local attraction.
In the evening enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.
About the Accommodation
Your accommodation is situated in Ponta Do Ouro and has an amazing deck over-looking the Indian Ocean.
The beach and the dive centre are just a few minutes walk from the lodge.
All rooms have en-suite facilities, air-conditioning and the rooms are serviced daily.
The lodge offers free Wi-Fi internet access and has an amazing swimming pool area.
Just wake-up, roll out of bed and go shark diving - awesome!
About the Shark Diving
The shark diving in Ponta Do Ouro takes place mainly on the Pinnacles but you can also see sharks on other reefs.
We have dived with 17-species of shark in Ponta Do Ouro including Tiger Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Bull Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Whale Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Java Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Great Hammerhead Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Guitar Sharks and even Great White Sharks.
The reefs of Ponta Do Ouro also offers a huge diversity in other marine-life which includes Dolphin, Paperfish, Frogfish, Spanish Dancers, Honeycomb Eels, Round Ribbontail Rays, many species of Turtle and a huge amount of reef and pelagic fish.
The annual Humpback Whale migration passes the coast of Ponta Do Ouro each year between June and October.
Enjoy the sights of the breaching whales from the lodge as well as from the boats.
Water temperature is between 24C and 27C during the summer [Sep to May] and 21C and 24C in the winter [Jun to Aug].
